Angela S. Clerico

Angela joined BAI in the fall of 2006 after four years with the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association in Pennington, NJ. At the Watershed, she coordinated the municipal assessment project. This program assists municipalities to characterize their goals and objectives and assesses the need for revisions to their existing laws and policies to achieve their community vision. Through this program Angela focused on assisting 15 of the 26 towns in the watershed to adopt Stream Corridor Protection Ordinances.

With Banisch Associates Angela is a Research Associate, assisting planners in the office with research and preparation of plans, site plan and subdivision review, and grant writing.  Areas of work include Farmland and Open Space Preservation Plans, Bikeway and Walkway Planning, Housing and Fair Share Plans, Conservation Plans, Natural Resources Inventory preparation, Visioning workshops, and Sustainability and Green Building Plans. 

Angela recently earned her licensure with the AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) and as a LEED-AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – Accredited Professional). The LEEDTM rating system was developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) as a means to assess and certify buildings striving to achieve green certification. A LEED-AP is a professional licensed to guide projects through the certification process and to act as the coordinator of the project. Using the USGBC guidelines, Angela is also assisting communities to include sustainable and green building measures into their plans and policies.

Angela is currently the Chair of the Sustainability Committee, a subcommittee of the NJ Chapter of the American Planning Association. She is also a member of the NJ Chapter of the US Green Building Council. Angela received a B.S. in Environmental Policy from Keene State College in Keene, NH and a Masters of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.

Eric W. Haflett

Eric Haflett is an experienced GIS analyst who has worked with a wide array of clients on many projects varying in complexity and scale. Areas of specialization include environmental constraints analysis, resource inventory, and project 3D visualization. His experience ranges from large scale utility siting studies in the Southwest to small scale transportation corridor studies in the Northeast. Other studies include visual resource management classifications and revisions for the BLM, opportunities and constraints mapping, and view shed analysis and 3D simulation, and resource inventories for environmental impact statements and environmental assessments.
