OUR APPROACH

BANISCH ASSOCIATES, INC. coordinates both long and short range planning activities in client communities. The firm has pursued grant opportunities in the areas of community development, historic preservation and open space conservation and has obtained over $8 million in grant funding for multiple clients. Long range planning work has included the preparation of master plans and development ordinances, fair share analyses, and grant administration, as well as housing and economic development strategies.

The professional orientation of the firm seeks to promote the proper balance between a property owner's lawful right to use land, and the need to safeguard important natural resources for the public's health, safety, and welfare. This philosophy also seeks to protect the State’s scenic visual characteristics from unnecessary intrusion, and to shape the built environment in ways that enhance the quality of life.
